The self-drive safari through Botswana was exactly the right thing for us. The routes were manageable, the lodges were appropriately selected and the nature was simply impressive. In Chobe National Park we discovered a pride of lions right next to our car :) On the flight into the Okavango Delta I felt a bit sick for a moment, but the lodge, the peace and the landscape more than made up for it.
